The Ukraine Opportunity Trust PLC (UKRO) has been launched in November, 2005: AUM - US$ 25.4 million, as of March 2010. The Fund is formed through the Placing of Ordinary Shares and Warrants on the London Stock Exchange (ticker UKRO).

The Fund Managers of UKRO are Fabien Pictet & Partners (FPP), who will co-invest pari-passu and pro-rata with Euroventures Ukraine Fund II. Euroventures Ukraine, as a consultant, has received 70% of the total Fund size (or approximately US$ 50 million) for private equity investment. The objective of these funds will be to provide early stage and expansion capital to, in the view of the consultant, the best companies and management teams in high growth industries and sectors with a strong orientation towards consumer markets.

Fund will be directed to the companies with sustainable competitive advantages based on brand equity in consumable goods, value-added business services, media and entertainment, export-oriented manufacturing, and superior, system-intensive distribution, logistics and point-of-sale technologies.
